My name is Marsais (Mar-say) and roughly 4.5 years ago I bought a personal website so that I could have an online space again to write and dream and share all about the things I love, incorporating my love for photography, fashion and travel and of course, my most important role in motherhood. I used to have a blog before having children, and when I went to pick it up again, poof! It was gone. Years of writing and story-telling, photos and recipes and it was no longer to be found. Even worse, my blogger name was taken by a new user.
I concluded it was never a good time for me to start a new ‘project’ anyways and therefore, I waited. Excuse after excuse, I waited. Waited until I lost the “baby weight”, until someone’s health finally got better, waited until I felt more confident, prettier, skinnier, more valuable. Until I had life more balanced and ‘figured out’. I waited for what feels like forever for permission to just jump at something uncertain.
Except that’s the thing with waiting. You sit back and watch others dreams unfold and you realize, there’s never actually a perfect time to jump. Life can throw you for a loop and you can feel like you’re on auto-pilot at times looking back wondering how you even got to this Starbucks drive-thru anyhow. Just me? This is pretty much, one of the least ideal times to start something I’ve been dreaming about for so long but as I’ve realized now more than ever, I just have to do it. So here I am.
I’m a wifey to a Cowboy (at least in my eyes), a mama to 3 incredible little boys and 2 adorable pups. I’m a wedding and portrait photographer and I am in love with fashion and travel. I obtained my degree in Fashion Merchandising and Business Administration and I always knew I wanted my own business and dreamed somehow, it could be around all the things that I love.
This online space is for me. To write and dream and share. Thank you for checking out this page and thank you for following along. Who knows where it will lead, but I’m just following my heart.
