If you’re searching for things to do or ways to keep busy while we’re at home these next couple of weeks, I’m here to help!
Hey y’all! I know this is such an unusual time for so many and while I don’t want to make light of our current world situation by ANY means, I do want to bring a little light into what could be so scary for so many.
You guys know me, being trapped at home could be known as living one of my worst nightmares. I’m sure so many feel the same! However, I refuse to live in that kind of fear and despair and am choosing to find things that bring me joy, such as writing y’all and sharing things that make me happy (and keep me busy!)
I’ve put together a list of things to do while at home that I have been either doing, reading or recently purchased in order to bring a little joy and fun to your life. Let’s take this time to follow guidelines to stay inside and keep others safe, while mentally resting and getting to reset our minds and lives.
Make sure to read below for a full list of descriptions! 😉
1.) 100 Days to Brave: I couldn’t think of a better time to do this devotional book than now. “Whether you’re making a major decision, dealing with a difficult transition, or facing a fear, 100 Days to Brave will give you courage and confidence to move forward. Annie F. Downs felt her challenges were too difficult, too scary, too much. Then she decided to stop allowing fear to hold her back. It wasn’t easy or simple. But it was good. Dare to spend the next 100 days discovering that you are braver than you know and stronger than you thought possible.”
2.) 111 SKIN Rose Bright Facial Mask: I love these at-home masks and if you haven’t heard me talk on stories about them before, it’s a great and simple 20-minute facial mask which combines cutting-edge hydrogel technology and innovative ingredients with the age-old benefits of 24K gold and rose damascus extract.
3.) Beats by Dre Headphones: Ok, let’s be honest. Sometimes we just need to plug some music in and silence the noise. These are perfect for just that and have incredible sound. They come in an array of colors but I linked the ones I own because they’re beautiful and we all need beauty in our life! 😉
4.) Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels: No need for an explanation, you need chocolate. I love the combination of sweet and buttery caramel with a little salty bite. Dark chocolate is just my fave!
5.) Tea Forte’ Tea Satchels: I’m a coffee drinker through and through but when I want an afternoon pick me up, I love the options, quality and honestly the fresh tea leaves of Tea Forte’. My sister introduced me several years ago and I just love them for a relaxing cup of tea.
6.) Bucket List Journal: I adore this journal y’all and it’s so much fun to gather your thoughts and dreams and potential goals and actually write them out! I can only imagine my children reading my completed book one day (there are places to put pictures of things completed) and know that they were apart of the best and biggest adventure of my life! It’s so much fun, trust me!
7.) Barefoot Dreams Blanket: I know I’ve posted about them before, but there is no softer, cozier blanket to set up shop, cuddle and relax at home then these Barefoot Blankets!
8.) Blue Light Glasses: There are so many options but if you don’t currently have a way to protect your eyes from all that computer and phone use, check these out. They are super affordable and super cute!
9.) Cozy Flip-Flops: Indoor/Outdoor plush slippers. If you’re going to be at home your feet might as well be cozy!
10.) Uninvited: A great book for when you’re feeling left out and lonely. See my trend on reading lately? I bought this one before we were all stuck inside but it’s a great read! “The enemy wants us to feel rejected . . . left out, lonely, and less than. In Uninvited, Lysa shares her own deeply personal experiences of rejection from the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over to the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father. She leans in to honestly examine the roots of rejection, as well as rejection’s ability to poison relationships from the inside out, including our relationship with God.”
11.) Women’s 7-piece satin pajama set: Super affordable and really cute pajama complete set to wear while we’re lounging at night watching the latest flick or during the day since we ARE INSIDE ANYWAYS! 😉
12.) The Home Edit: I don’t pride myself on being a great organizer but a friend told me to buy this book and it’s SUPER helpful and very inspirational for getting your booty in gear to get every inch of your house in order. I’ve been working on one little area a day and hope by the end of this my entire home will be complete! 😉
13.) TABLE TOPICS: Ok you guys have to check these out! There are so many different subjects, like the FAMILY VERSION here, that allow you to sit down and spark great conversation for you and your spouse or family or teen. If we’re going to be all at home together in quarantine, let’s use this time to dig deep into our relationships and grow and challenge one another! I love these so much!
14.) Tea Cup: Remember those tea forte leaves I was telling you about? This mug allows you to use those fresh tea leaves and strain right into your mug complete with a lid to keep it warm. You can use any fresh tea leaves!
15.) Gravity Weighted Blanket: If you haven’t heard of a weighted blanket they are a popular purchase to help reduce stress and anxiety (YES PLEASE!) and they make it in a variety of weights, colors and even cooling for those night sleepers like me who like to be as cool as possible!
16.) Mongolian Throw Pillows: Because they’re beautiful and scattered throughout my home and bring a little luxury and fun to your space. No need to be boring when you might be bored! That’s a joke but I hope you know that! 😉
