Ingredients
.5ozSimple Syrup
.75ozFresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
2ozDry Gin
2 oz Champagne
1Lemon Twist
Instructions
Simple syrup: Combine ½ cup sugar with a ½ cup water and bring to just under a boil. Stir until completely disolved and let cool. Store in fridge.Note: This cocktail is best served cold so I recommend making sure Champagne has been chilled prior to uncorking.Combine gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup (more or less depending on flavor preference) in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds.Strain the cocktail and top with Champagne; garnish with lemon twist. Voila!
