Classic French 75

A light and airy classic cocktail for any occassion

Ingredients

  • .5 oz Simple Syrup
  • .75 oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 2 oz Dry Gin
  • 2 oz Champagne
  • 1 Lemon Twist

Instructions

  • Simple syrup: Combine ½ cup sugar with a ½ cup water and bring to just under a boil. Stir until completely disolved and let cool. Store in fridge.
    Note: This cocktail is best served cold so I recommend making sure Champagne has been chilled prior to uncorking.
    Combine gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup (more or less depending on flavor preference) in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds.
    Strain the cocktail and top with Champagne; garnish with lemon twist. Voila!
